‘We mean business’

Wednesday 18 April 2012

On 17 April, the European Commission launched the ‘We mean business’ campaign, which aims to encourage companies to create more trainee placements to boost young people’s skills and employability. The Commission wants to show the benefits foreign interns can bring to companies, while enabling trainees from abroad to improve their linguistic abilities. During the period 2012-2013, the Commission will provide funding support for a total of 280,000 placements through its Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus schemes. The trainees will receive a contribution towards the daily expense of living abroad. Awareness-raising events will take place in member states. we-mean-business.europa.eu
