EIB loan for hospital in Metz

Friday 13 November 2009

The European Investment Bank (EIB) signed, on 12 November, €60 million of financing with DCL - Dexia Crédit Local – and the Caisse d’Épargne to enable Metz Private Hospitals to build the ‘Robert Schuman’ Hospital. The new institution will provide about 600 beds and, as of 2012, bring together in one place advanced services in medicine, surgery and other specialties. It will be the EIB’s first loan for a private hospital project. It is a precursor to a “loan programme” under the 2012 Hospital Plan that the EIB plans to launch in 2010.
