Wednesday 07 July 2010
European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek said he was “very glad” that the newly elected German President, Christian Wulff, made his first official visit, on 7 July, to the plenary session in Strasburg. By travelling to the Alsatian city, the German president sends a strong message, restating German attachment both to Community integration and the Franco-German relationship. After visits from Spanish, French and Belgian prime ministers, Wulff is the fourth head of state to attend this parliamentary session.
