On 1 March, Slovenian national Natasa Gorsek Mencin took office as the new head of representation of the European Commission in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Gorsek Mencin had previously been head of the European Parliament’s Information Office in Slovenia. Before joining the EP, she pursued a career in the film and TV industries in Slovenia, holding a number of senior editor and producer positions. In 2001, she specialised in European integration and EU law at Slovenia’s Administrative Academy, where she qualified in 2005 and went on to join the staff of the European Parliament in Slovenia.
