The EU Council appointed, on 9 March, Hella Dunger-Löper (Germany, State of Berlin representative for federal government and European affairs) and Audrius Bielkus (Lithuania, Kazlu Ore Municipal Board) as members of the EU Committee of the Regions for the remainder of the current term of office, which runs until 25 January 2015 (7184/12 and 7187/12).
