The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending €325 million to Catholic University Leuven (KU Leuven) and to University Hospital Leuven (UZ Leuven) for the construction of the Health Sciences Campus, a first-class medical and university centre providing acute care, education and research in a single location, Gasthuisberg in Leuven. The EIB decided to support the project, which it considers to be a major initiative in line with the EU policies for health, education and innovation.
