Paolo Bruni, the president of the General Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives in the European Union (Cogeca) since January 2010, has decided to step down from his position in order to focus on other commitments, Cogeca announced, on 13 July. The Cogeca presidency accepted Bruni’s decision and thanked him for “his excellent work on the EU Common Agricultural Policy and in support of the entire European agri-food sector”.
