The European Commission granted clearance, on 6 September, to the acquisition by POSCO of sole control over the undertaking Daewoo International, both of the Republic of Korea. POSCO manufactures and sells a diversified line of finished and semi-finished steel products. Daewoo International is a company primarily active in international trading in a wide range of products, including raw materials for the manufacturing of steel, steel products and steel semi-finished products.
