In London, on 11 August, Bonsucro’s Board of Directors appointed Nick Goodall to lead the organisation into its next phase. Goodall was formerly the chief executive of the UK Renewable Fuels Agency, the body responsible for administering the renewable transport fuels obligation (RTFO) in the UK. Previously, he led a number of organisations in energy and sustainability, including the Energy Networks Association, Renewables East and the British Wind Energy Association. Bonsucro, formerly known as the Better Sugarcane Initiative, is a multi-stakeholder initiative set up to develop a sustainability standard and certification system with the aim to reduce the environmental and social impacts of sugarcane. www.bonsucro.com
