The European Movement France elected, on 3 December, its new president. MEP Jean-Marie Cavada (EPP, France) is a former journalist in the audiovisual sector. He follows in the steps of French MEP Christian Philip, rector of the Académie de Montpellier. The European Movement France is the French branch of the European Movement International, an association created in 1949. Its aim is to promote discussions and move things forward in terms of achieving a European Union that is closer to its citizens.
