CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers, announced, on 4 January, the appointment of Jean-Marc Gales as the new CEO with effect from 2 April. Born in 1962, Gales is a native of Luxembourg and currently a member of the Managing Board of PSA Peugeot Citroën and executive vice-president brands. He has spent most of his career in the automobile industry, notably with Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, General Motors and BMW. Gales succeeds Lars Holmqvist, who is retiring after eight years at the helm of the association. www.clepa.eu
